Used in over 100 countries and in 11 langauges, SPT provides professional sports performance data that helps teams and players around the world reach success and beat their performance goals.
The Coburg Football Club have found the SPT product and associated programs to be a great asset to our club's High Performance program. The simplicity of the product provides great ease of use for our developing staff and players.
Using SPT GPS units has given us a huge advantage on our competition and they have played a big role in having our players ready to go this season.
The units have enabled us to train to a plan and not overwork or underwork certain players. The players are interested to know their key metric information and are always looking to train harder to achieve the teams ultimate goal in winning a premiership.
Working with SPT throughout the recent pre-season has been a fantastic way to help our players stay fit and return healthy from injury. The GPS units create a competitive edge and help all the players train with a competitive mindset.
The SPT team are happy to guide you in the right direction to assure players are training the right way. We look forward to increasing the number of trackers and hope to have every player tracked on game day when we return.
Having the SPT units has driven data led analysis of our programming. The Chronic/Acute work Ratio is measured and assessed in ways that was simply not possible without the units.
SPT deliver simple and easy to use hardware and software. I have been able to pass the reporting tasks on to Club Interns with limited experience and they have found the product straightforward to use. Time and cost effective.
SPT is driving our athletes to strive for productivity each and every minute of training. The shift in their work ethic has been pleasing.
Keeping our players fit, healthy and prepared for game day is obviously our primary goal. The ability to monitor the intensity and volume of player training/playing loads can only help optimise team and player performance.
As an organisation, GPS monitoring is new to us, and it’s still early days but so far it’s all been positive. SPT is providing us with an effective and simple basis for doing this. Set up is simple and the software is easy to use with the Game Day real time monitoring, via Bluetooth and the GameTraka App, already proving to be a great player management tool for us.
Within the player group it has provided a means of inter-player competition and individual accountability. The metrics SPT gives us are simple to understand and are easily communicated both to the Players and the Coaching Staff. Thanks to SPT we’re looking forward to an INFORMED FUTURE.
The SPT GPS units have been a valuable addition to the high performance program at the Northern Blues Football Club. The data attained from the GPS enable us to monitor training and match workloads for individuals within our playing group which help with decisions around player preparation and recovery.
The GameTraka software has proved to be beneficial during sessions to look at live data and make adjustments as necessary based on actual loads. Additionally, the players can make their own account and access their numbers as soon as data is uploaded, which gives them feedback on their physical performance.
The VSS platform gives a comprehensive analysis of the distances and speeds from each session and allows us to produce a customised report to be presented to coaches and players.
Overall, the SPT product is pivotal to our player monitoring and management.
SPT2 has allowed us to effectively track player loads at Melbourne University Women's Football Club (VFLW) through its simple to use software. The devices are durable and cost-effective allowing us to use them across the full squad at training and games.
They allow us to monitor training load metrics and give us with the numbers to help us provide our athletes with the correct training stimulus to ensure adaptions are occurring without overtraining.
If you want to investigate your data further, the VSS allows the export of data to excel which can then be input into load monitoring spreadsheets to enhance your ability to analyse data and manage athletes.
I would highly recommend SPT to various team based field sports of all levels, from local to elite level.
Using SPT GPS Units gave us a huge advantage on our competition and a big part of our premiership success.
It allowed us to work closely with our players on their running and work rate data, monitor work loads during games and training and set up healthy competition between our players which continually drove us to become what we believed to be the fittest and most durable team in the competition.Tracking our players has taken our clubs professionalism to the next level and we highly recommend SPT if you are looking to take the next step.
The SPT2 units are very effective in helping us monitor our players not only on game day but during the week at training. How far the players run, how fast and how hard they work.
We had a massive decrease in injured players and compared to other years ran out games in peak condition.
We would recommend using the GPS units to help your club become stronger and more competitive for the whole season.
Strength and Conditioning requires informed decisions - SPT GPS technology gives me the ultimate confidence to interpret, apply and implement changes by utilising data.
I now have an enhanced capability to effectively monitor the intensity and volume of our training and games throughout the year. I can prescribe set running volumes and speeds from the data. Injury and training load spikes are a thing of the past with realtime information. The added feedback for players and coach makes their understanding and buy-in for training so much more credible.
We decided to partner with SPT in March 2019 to increase the team’s performance outputs and help keep the players in peak condition. The features and benefits of the SPT system are great, the coaching team get some real positive insights into the work of the players during games and training sessions.
With the data we’ve seen some massive improvements all round and it’s been an important part in helping us become Premiers this year.
We use SPT to gain valuable information on our players, particularly those in similar size and stature which also enables some healthy competition between the boys. SPT was first used during our premiership season in 2018. The players certainly appreciated having access to the new technology and receiving that immediate feedback certainly put an edge on their opponents.
As a club, we have seen our players run harder and clock up higher work rates and appreciate the quality insights we are now receiving for each individual that wears the units.
The trackers have been really useful and informative in terms of gaining data for our players. Some of the distances the players have been tracked are really surprising and as a result we have adjusted the players time and running patterns on the ground.
The players are really committed into helping us gain this information and it also gives them a sense of ownership and has started a few in house competitions with some of the playing group.
The positions we have had the trackers have been all over the ground including our ruckmen. We are currently undefeated this season.
The game performance analysis has been outstanding and has given the coaches valuable insights into the work rate of the players. An undefeated start to the season typified by strong last quarters leave us no doubt that SPT have given us a definitive competitive advantage.
Our team invested in the GPS technology so we could effectively monitor the intensity and volume of our training sessions throughout the year. The technology allows us to optimize performance-training outcomes for both individuals and the team for the in-season, mid-season and off-season recovery period.
For the demands of all field-based sports outdoors, SPT has been fantastic in providing us with simple parameters that are easily communicated to coaches and players alike.
Being able to use SPT’s technology has enabled the Physiotherapists at Optimus Health to work closely with our Sports Science Team and help to reduce soft tissue injuries over the 2016/17 season
We have managed to use the GPS data to give feedback to coaches about important data and load variables, including acute-chronic ratios and flagging players when their loads are not in a ‘sweet spot’.
St John’s Old Collegians FC have been using the SPT GPS units to gather training and match data on metres run per minute and high intensity running. This has allowed us to evaluate the quality of our training in relation to the intensities our players experience during games and adjust and improve how we train.
We also track total load during the week to manage our yearly macro cycle, enabling players to peak for important games and minimise significant increases in load, which may lead to a greater risk of injuries. Our players have really enjoyed seeing and using their data as motivation to improve.
The GPS units have been of a real benefit for us this season with all players in the 1st XVIII wearing them for each game. We have been able to track loads with a focus on sprint efforts and high speed running.
It is no coincidence that there has been a strong correlation with work rate and good performance. It has been also interesting looking at the distance covered by our players in comparison to the different size of grounds we play on.
The SPT GPS devices have been an integral part of our club’s training and fitness programming this season. As the strength and conditioning coach of Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club this year, I have personally found the devices to be significantly beneficial.
The ability to monitor training and match day running data has allowed us to quantify workloads for both individual players and the team, and therefore use them to improve performance and reduce the risk of injury. The range of variables we can track is great for players to see and allows them to compare their work-rate to teammates playing in similar positions.
For a team who finished 1 spot from relegation last year, we have now finished 3rd this year and are playing finals; it would be safe to say that the SPT GPS have considerably aided our improvement.
The Cranbourne FC in the South East Football Netball League have been using SPT GPS technology for the past three years to monitor and track player movement and intensity.
We have been using SPT on our midfielders to help them understand the high-end gut running that is required during their matches. We are able to compare their GPS results to those of a VFL midfielders, this helps the Cranbourne boys set high benchmarks which leads to an increase in performance. We mainly look at the total distance that our midfielders run and the Zone 6 metres that they gain.
I would recommend SPT to any football team based on the fact that it is a great tool from an education point of view and it gives the players a good understanding of where they need to be.
We bought 10 of the units for our football club here at the Koondrook/Barham Raiders and used them for the first time on Saturday. The results were amazing, not only could we assess total distance, it shows running patterns and top speed.
A bonus that comes with the players wearing the GPS units is that they knew they couldn't hide as their running efforts were being recorded.
As the coach of the Phillip Island Football Club I have found the SPT GPS tracking devices to be an essential tool in our continued improvement. It has enabled us to monitor players' individual progress over our pre-season and now the benefits we are getting on match day data is incredible.
It has helped running patterns for players and they are getting the exact feedback they have been craving. We have become the number one defensive side in our competition after sitting at number 8 in the competition last season. I believe the data that we have been able to secure and show our players have been a contributor to this.
