It started with a game changing idea

Before SPT, measuring performance on the field was a luxury reserved for professional teams. GPS tracking technology existed, but it was expensive, complex, and out of reach for grassroots athletes and coaches.

That changed in 2015 when Sports Performance Tracking (SPT) launched its GPS wearable solution — an affordable, easy-to-use platform designed for teams and athletes of all levels. By working closely with world-leading sports scientists, SPT built a product tailored for outdoor sports such as football, rugby, and soccer. The goal was clear: bring elite-level performance insights to everyday athletes.

Over the years, SPT has empowered coaches, schools, clubs, sporting players in over 120 countries to monitor athlete performance in real-time — tracking speed, endurance, training load, and injury risk with the same precision used by top-tier professionals. SPT has changed the way the world trains.

In 2025, SPT was acquired by K-Sport, a global leader in elite-level sports performance technology. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter, with SPT becoming the platform to expand K-Sport’s reach into amateur and semi-professional markets. Together, we’re launching new technology, growing product accessibility, and scaling our footprint across Australia and the United States.
